Hartshorn Health Service colorado state university wellness zone - live well

Walk 4 Wellness is a fun, motivating way to help Colorado State students increase their physical activity and overall wellness!

Walk 4 Wellness is a pedometer program designed to promote increased physical activity among its participants through tracking and weekly improvements. The program is 7 weeks long and takes place each fall and spring semester.

There are two easy ways to track your physical activity on our website:

  1. Enter the number of steps you take each day using a pedometer. Use your own or purchase one at the Health Promotions desk in Hartshorn Health Center.
  2. Keep track of the minutes you engage in physical activity with our convenient activity drop down menu. The equivalent number of steps from your activity will be calculated and automatically added to your daily step count.

Week 1: Wear the pedometer and record your steps on your online tracking calender. The average of your first week is your baseline.

Weeks 2-7: Work from your baseline and set new goals each week to increase the number of steps you take. We recommend that you add 2,000 steps to your baseline for your initial goal!
